Bicycle self-repair workshop
The bicycle self-repair project is an initiative designed jointly with the former Hospital de Bicis to promote the empowerment and autonomy of cyclists. Our goal is to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to maintain, repair and solve common bicycle problems.
In the workshop, we focus on teaching participants how to perform basic adjustments, simple repairs, and preventative maintenance on their bikes. We believe that by acquiring these skills, cyclists can enjoy a more rewarding and safer experience on the road.
Our approach is based on hands-on learning, where participants work on their own bikes with the guidance of Juanan, an expert instructor. Throughout the workshop, we learn how to adjust brakes, derailleurs and other key components, as well as repair punctures, adjust the chain and perform basic maintenance tasks.
We value community and knowledge sharing, so we foster a collaborative environment where participants can learn from others and share their own experiences. Additionally, we have the specialized tools and equipment necessary to carry out repairs.
Regardless of level of previous bike repair experience, our shop is open to everyone. We believe all cyclists can benefit from learning how to care for and troubleshoot their bikes, whether for everyday use, recreational riding, or long-distance adventures.
We’ll meet at the Hospital de Bicis workshop, if you are interested, contact us!
