Volunteering

All members of B-Live have always been involved in volunteer activities.

Depending on the period and energy available, each of us dedicates part of our time to the activities and causes that matter most to us. Therefore, we believe that it is essential to give the opportunity to as many people as possible to join a volunteering experience, whether local, national, European, or all three!

Still not sure if it’s worth it?

Here we give you 5 reasons:

1. Develop skills

Volunteering allows us to test our talents in different areas and learn new skills, share experiences and knowledge.

The skills acquired can be used in any other field of our lives: at work, throughout our studies, in our social relationships, etc.

2. Find new friends

There is not an easier or more interesting way to make new friends and network among people who volunteer. Meeting different people who live a similar experience, giving their time to improve the life of the community, is a unique shared experience that allows us to build strong bonds.

3. Gain confidence in yourself

We feel a sense of accomplishment seeing the effect our good work can have on others. Volunteering is a fun, empowering and energizing experience and allows us to test ourselves every day by discovering hidden abilities.

4. Travel and learn about other cultures

You can volunteer in a local association or choose one that works abroad. In this case you will have the opportunity to travel and discover new countries at a low cost, also contributing to improving the living conditions of another community.

5. Gratitude

One of the greatest gifts of volunteering is developing a feeling of empathy. It teaches us to be thankful, to feel that life is a true gift and that all people deserve to be and feel grateful.

It changes our perspective by understanding what really matters in life, we learn to live in a simpler, more authentic and organic way.

What is the European Solidarity Corps?

If you are between 17 and 30 years old, you can participate in one (or several!) of the European Solidarity Corps projects.

The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is the European Union’s program that offers volunteering opportunities, in your own country or abroad, to help communities in Europe.

ALL people can participate regardless of their profile, what counts most is motivation!

The activities that can be carried out with the ESC are divided into two macro groups:

Most of the opportunities offered by the European Solidarity Corps are cross-border volunteering activities. These projects are a great opportunity to help where needed, learn new skills, spend time abroad, learn a language and return home with unforgettable memories.

Solidarity projects

These are projects developed and implemented in groups of at least 5 young people, in order to address the main problems and challenges of their local environment.

Projects must take place in the country of residence of the participants and must be based on 3 fundamental pillars: solidarity, inclusion and community.

We assure you that participating in a CES project is an unforgettable experience!

At B-Live we can help you find the project that best suits your interests or needs: they can be short or long-term (from two weeks to twelve months), they can be developed at a local, national or international level, they can be focused on a very specific or broader topic, offer you training and theoretical knowledge, as well as practical experiences.
