Inclusive Volunteering in Action (VIA)

Inclusive Volunteering in Action (VIA) is a project promoted by B-LIVE to strengthen social volunteering in the Region of Murcia, with a special focus on youth participation, inclusion, and the support of volunteers.

The project responds to a clear reality: many people want to get involved in solidarity actions, but do not always find accessible spaces, clear information, or sufficient support. VIA connects this willingness to help with real volunteering opportunities, building bridges between citizens and social organisations across the region.

Through VIA, B-LIVE promotes organised, inclusive volunteering with real impact, moving beyond one-off actions to become an experience of learning, personal growth, and social transformation.

What do we do in VIA?

The project is developed through the following lines of action:

• Information and awareness-raising talks in educational centres, universities, youth associations, and community spaces, aimed at young people aged 15 to 30. These sessions combine practical information about local and European volunteering opportunities with real-life testimonials from young volunteers.
• Participatory workshops for young people, designed using dynamic and inclusive methodologies, where values, motivations, rights, and opportunities related to volunteering are explored, encouraging reflection and active participation.
• Personalised support and mentoring for local and European volunteers, especially those facing greater integration barriers, offering ongoing guidance, support, and welcome materials.
• Mixed and intercultural activities (social, environmental, cultural, and artistic) that foster coexistence, exchange, and a sense of community between local and European volunteers.
• Creation of audiovisual content and dissemination campaigns, based on real stories, to highlight the impact of youth volunteering and bring it closer to new audiences in an engaging and accessible way.
• Final closing and recognition event, as a space for meeting, celebration, and showcasing the impact of the project together with volunteers, social organisations, and institutional stakeholders.

VIA is mainly aimed at young people aged 15 to 30, with special attention to those with fewer opportunities, as well as third-sector organisations interested in strengthening their volunteering processes.

This project is funded by the Regional Government of the Region of Murcia (CARM) through grants for the promotion and development of social volunteering.
