European project that trains youth workers and volunteers to promote urban sustainability, create green spaces, and foster inclusive participation
At B-LIVE, we firmly believe in the power of youth to transform their cities and build a greener future. That is why, with the support of the Erasmus+ programme and in collaboration with organisations from Portugal, Poland, Romania, and Italy, we launched the project Empowering Youth for Urban Sustainability. This initiative was born with a clear goal: to strengthen the skills of youth workers and volunteers in order to promote urban sustainability and the creation of inclusive green spaces.
What is Empowering Youth for Urban Sustainability?
It is a European initiative that fosters youth participation through sustainable, intercultural, and inclusive activities. It seeks to inspire new generations to become active agents in facing the environmental challenges of our cities, promoting non-formal learning and transnational collaboration.
The four roots of the project
European Green Mapping
Identification and compilation of European programmes related to youth and the environment, creating a resource base and opportunities for new initiatives.
Visits to Sustainability Projects
Meetings with organisations working in urban sustainability, exchanging best practices, and directly observing transformative projects.
Dialogue Tables and Participatory Workshops
Collaborative working sessions to assess local needs and co-create creative solutions.
European Network for Youth Sustainability
Creation of a network connecting organisations across Europe to develop joint projects and strengthen collective impact.
Why do we do it?
At B-LIVE, we believe in:
This project is an example of how international collaboration and local motivation can generate real and lasting transformations in our communities.
Thank you for making it possible
This project would not be possible without the support of Erasmus+, the Spanish National Agency for Youth (INJUVE), and our partner organisations: Casa d’Abóbora (Portugal), Stowarzyszenie Tylko Księży Młyn (Poland), EDUBIZ (Romania), and Giuliano Accomazzi SCS (Italy), as well as all the youth workers and volunteers who bring their energy and commitment to building a more sustainable future.
