Exchange of good practices in the field of social work of the future

It is an exchange between European local authorities and other social actors working in the third sector. The project wants to develop a common perspective for social actors in European countries, facing social problems and similar issues, such as access to social rights and public services, the impact of digital technology on professionals and users, the emergence of a new civil society and social economy actors, the support of new audiences such as migrant and refugee groups, the response to the health crisis, etc.

The Département de l’Isère (France) is leading the OASIS consortium that brings together 3 other partners: the Valle d’Aosta Autonomous Region (Italy), the NGO Red Internacional B-Live de Murcia (Spain), the Regional Centre for Resources and Educational Assistance Alba (Romania). This strategic alliance aims to learn from each other, sharing ideas, experiences and solutions.

We intend to experiment in different European countries on three main themes: How to adapt the tools and methods used by social professionals and how to share them? How to better understand the expectations of users and favour their empowerment? And how to build career paths differently and improve the attractiveness of social work?

The OASIS project offers the possibility to the participants to increase their knowledge of the practices by experimenting with new ways of acting, improving the project’s methodologies, and elaborating new collective actions.

In the longer term, the links established between the European partners will allow the consortium to work together to enrich their practices. This project will contribute to the development of a new perspective towards the evolution of social professions throughout Europe.
